In the Council of Ministers meeting chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

The Council of Ministers agreed during its meeting chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin AbdulAziz Al Saud, at Qaser Al-Salam Yesterday in Jeddah, Having considered the recommendation of the Standing Committee of the Supreme Economic Council [No. (72/29) and the date of  30/12/1429 Hijry] to license the establishment of a Saudi joint stock company under the name of [Saudi Company for the exchange of information electronically “Tabadul”]. In accordance with its statute annexed to the resolution. The company aims to invest in the activity of information technology, telecommunications and banking industries on a commercial basis.
The Council of Ministers also approved the transfer of ownership of the site of a park named “Ain Najem” of 59 thousand square meters of land, designated for the benefit of the municipality, resulted in Al-Ahsa by lifting the map accompanying the spatial resolution, to be a public park solely and not for any other purposes. And, it’s the duty of the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities to supervise the archaeological sites in the park “Ain Najm”  in accordance with the resulting organization. And, after considering the submission of the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, in the matter of the outcome of the formed committee, to examine the application for approval of a strip of land to the municipality of Al-Ahsa.

On the international front, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Council on the talks, consultations and meetings that took place during the last few days with the leaders of some countries and envoys, and at the forefront of his meetings, the meeting with Muhammed Hosni Mubarak the President of Egypt, where they discussed the strong brotherly ties between the two countries, and developments on the Arab arena and the particular conditions and developments in occupied Palestine,  and efforts to move the peace process in the region and build on the Arab peace initiative for settling the conflict. As well as the efforts of Egypt, especially in order to achieve reconciliation among different Palestinian parties and factions, and access to the conservation of the Palestinian right and work together to Palestine  cause and the Palestinian people.
Dr. AbdulAziz Khojah, The Minister of Culture and information, told that The Council heard a summary on the developments in the region and the world, Including the situation in Somalia, Sudan, Iraq and Lebanon. The Council welcomed  the new formed Lebanese government, and the election of the Lebanese House of Representatives, where Mr. Nabyh Barry is the President of the Council, and Mr. Saad AlHarari is the Primse Minister. The council expressed their hope towards further consolidation of security and prosperity of Lebanon. And the restoration of its regional and international role. Saudi Arabia confirmed its support to Lebanon and its people in all that contributes to the enhancement of stability, integrity and sovereignty.
The Minister of Culture and Information, pointed out that the Council heard a report on the results of the Extraordinary Meeting of Arab Foreign Ministers. The meeting took place in Cairo last Wednesday, which confirmed the achievement of a lasting and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian Cause, and the end of the conflict in the region on all tracks, is the key to achieving security and stability in the region, and a  contribute to the achievement of the desired progress in the other regional issues.
As for the internal procedure, Dr. AbdulAziz Khojah, pointed out that the Council of Ministers approved the mandate of the second Vice-President to the Council of Ministers –or his nominee- to discuss with the Indian side, in the draft agreement for cooperation in the fields of extradition of accused and convicted persons between the Kingdom and India and to sign it to complement the regular procedures.
The Council also approved after consideration of the Shura Council decision No. (118/77) and the date of 20/2/1430 H, the Convention between the Government of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion with regard to taxes on income and its (protocol) on both signed resolutions in the city of Riyadh on 13/10/1429 H, corresponding to 13/10/2008.
The Cabinet approved the mandate to the Minister of Transportation – or his nominee – to the discuss the project of the multimodal transport of goods between the Arab states, and sign on it upon the light of the attached resolution, and then be submit it to complete the statutory procedures.
the Minister of Culture and Information said the Cabinet agreed to authorize the President of King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology - or the nominee - to discuss with the Uzbek side in the draft memorandum of understanding the scientific and technical cooperation Between the King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology in the UK, and the Coordinating Committee for the Development of Science and Technology of the Council of Ministers of Uzbekistan and sign it, upon the light of the attached resolution version, and then submit the signed  final version to complete the statutory procedures.
The Council approved the transfer of Jasser Bin Abdul Rahman Al Jasser  of the posts (financial adviser) of 15th level to the posts (Under-Secretary for Planning and program) the same place at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs. The appointment of Prince Fahd bin Mohammed bin Thunayan Al-Saud, a job (technical adviser) on the 15th level in the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs. The appointment of Fahd bin Mohammed bin Rashid Othman, a job (Director of the Office of the President) of the 14 level at the head of the National Guard. Appointment Saher Bin Moussa Tahlaoi the post of Director-General in Jeddah Islamic Port in on the 15th level, and the appointment of Abdul Rahman Bin Saleh Bin Abdullah ibn the posts (deputy director-general of the Foundation for the operation and maintenance) of the 14 prize in the General Organization for Grain Silos and Flour Mills.
